P!nk Fan Zine

Spring 2025

This assignment wasn't for a design class which is one of the reasons I love it. The assignment was for a rock & roll class and extremely open ended, with the only requirements being to have a passage of text about what the artist (of your choosing) stands for, and to be 8 pages (including the front and back covers.) I picked P!nk because she has an identifiable brand. Once I researched examples of fan zines and did image research I tried to make every spread distinct.

Each spread I tried to theme around elements of her brand/albums and to have distinct content focuses. The first content spread was based around the usage of lyrics and leaned into the lipstick imagery. The second content page was the required values passage so I tried to lean into how she's still able to be a "rockstar" even as she has grown and changed. The third content spread was the result of a few elements I knew I wanted to make use of. I knew I wanted to make use of headlines, do something that had to do with tours, and I also knew I wanted to do something with the acrobatic performances she's known for. So I was able to combine all of these elements into a fun spread. The covers were the result of discovering strong imagery that I knew had to make into the zine. I think overall my the back cover and the third content spread are my favorite parts of the end results.
